WinHEC 2007: Win $10,000 with a Windows Home Server Add-In

Code2Fame

All of you developers out there could be in with a chance of winning up to $10k by developing a new add-in for Windows Home Server.

The Code2Fame Challenge is coding competition for (I guess) amateur coders to develop applications which extend the functionality of Windows Home Server, using the WHS SDK. This is a pretty smart move by MS. Not only does is focus developer (and tech PR) attention on the new platform, it also ensures a plethora of community created add-ins are available for WHS at launch. Nice marketing move, guys.

Developers of the best add-ins will be invited on an all expenses paid trip to Redmond to present their solutions to a Pop Idol style panel of MS people and Media judges (let’s hope Simon Cowell is busy that day).

If you’re entering… good luck!
