Recorded TV Manager 2 Backs Up Recorded TV to Windows Home Server

Sat, Jun 2, 2007 | Terry Walsh

One of the new “features” that came with the Windows Home Server CTP was the exclusion of TV Recordings from the backup of a Media Center PC.

Recorded TV Manager 2 solves this problem by allowing you to set up a number of rules (similar to Windows Mail) on your Media Center machine to automatically copy a TV recording to a folder on your home server.

You simply install the application on your Media Center machine, set up the rules, point it to your home server (after creating a Recorded TV folder on the server) and off you go! Looks like it could be a great solutions to WHS’ Recorded TV blindness.
