Windows Home Server RC1: Today’s the Day!

Tue, Jun 12, 2007 | Terry Walsh

…according to PC World. They’re running an article on their site that’s claiming RC1 will be released to testers later today (Tuesday).

What’s new in RC1?

  • Bug Fixes (obviously)
  • Additional remote access capabilities
  • Improved setup wizard
  • Automatic router-setup for UPnP 2.0 routers
  • The article also hints at availability of yourserver.homeserver.com domains (via Windows Live Custom Domains) but this could be kept back until RTM.

So, if you’re one of the 100,000 people who are on, or have applied for the beta, keep checking Microsoft Connect today.

Note: This is PC World’s opinion (seemingly after a chat with Microsoft) - if it doesn’t happen today, blame them not me! :-)
