Add-In: Any Service Installer for Windows Home Server

Fri, Jul 13, 2007 | Terry Walsh

Marcel Nouwens has released a new add-in for Windows Home Server, Any Service Installer.

The add-in allows any application to run as a Service in Windows Home Server, which means that it will continue to run and operate even when you are logged out of WHS. The add-in has been released to work with an updated version of Marcel’s µTorrent add-in, which was also released yesterday; however Any Service Installer can work with all WHS applications.

I have used the Any Service Installer to install an instance of the Mercury Mail Server as a service.

Has been working flawlessly for at least six months.
