Windows Home Server September Update - Installation Issues

Thu, Sep 27, 2007 | Terry Walsh

A few people have reported problems with re-installing the WHS Connector software on their home computers, after running the Windows Home Server September Update (I guess I was lucky as mine installed without a hitch).

Microsoft have identified an issue with the update and are currently working to resolve it - meanwhile, a workaround has been uncovered by Matt S. Joel Burt over in the MS Forums suggests a second option is to copy Setup.exe and WHSConnector.msi from the home server’s folderĀ c:\whs to \\server\software\home server connector software.

Or, you could sit and wait for MS to fix the solution before installing the update.
