I’m still on holiday for the next 10 days or so (currently enjoying some great weather in San Francisco) but I noticed that a couple of blogs had mentioned that I’d been listed as a Microsoft MVP for Windows Home Server this week.
Much like Rick, I’m not too sure what it all entails but fingers crossed it’ll open up some more opportunites for direct contact between us all and the WHS team in the future. Given that WHS is a brand new MVP category, I’m sure we’ll be joined by some other noted posters/bloggers/authors in the months to come.
In the meantime, I’d like to say a big thank you to the person that nominated me, congrats to Rick, Ken, and Grey, and it’ll be business as usual when I get back from holiday.
Wish you were here etc. etc. ![]()

Hey Terry,
Look for a mail from the MVP team at Microsoft in the coming days. We are setting conference call with you, Grey, Rick and Ken with Todd Headrick and I and some of the other Windows Home Server team. Congratulations and thanks for accepting the award. You have been an invaluable resource to this very young Windows Home Server Community and yes, this means that you will have a lot more access to the team than you have had up to now. The world is your oyster now.
Welcome,
Kevin Beares
