Hush HS1 Home Server

German manufacturer Hush have this week released the Hush HS1 Home Server. The HS1 is a fanless system, running at 45 watts and is available with internal storage options from 500Gb up to 2Tb.

Specs are as follows:

Memory: 1Gb DDR2 RAM
Network: 10/100 LAN (Gigabit upgrade available)
Storage: 500Gb Base (up to 2 TB Available)
PSU: 90 watts
Dimensions: 430x 342 x 74mm (w x d x h)

Base specification price is pretty expensive at EUR 923.53 (£662.27)

    Look a lot like the old day PC case but spec is appriciate. Do you forgot to mention CPU speed?

    Now that is expensive!! - I’m assuming that a 2TB storage capacity means two internal drives?

    Looks as though they’ve included a DVD drive. Very nice box, though.

    Can you plug external storage into this thing, say a Seagate drive or better yet my Drobo? Rather use existing storage than pay them for it (seems a bit pricey).

    Sure you can - any USB 2.0 external hard drive will be fine.

    No there is not DVD or any optical drive in there.
    The slot is fake and covered from the back with a blank palte.
