Marketing, Windows Home Server

The next phase in Microsoft’s communication of the home server concept kicked off yesterday with the launch of Stay at Home Servers - a website holding a faux political debate about the need for a home server.

Stay at Home Servers

Looks like a bit of fun to try to educate the masses about the need for a home server. I have to admit to not being a massive fan of Microsoft’s attempts to market via these kind of “funny” websites (as both a consumer and a marketing guy). They tend to be way too cheesy for me, but I’m sure appeal to a few segments out there. Looking forward to see how it develops over the coming weeks though.

However, the children’s book is genius - get me one now!
