To date, I don’t believe we’ve covered any Windows Home Server coming out of France. That changes today, with news that French manufacturer Omwave have released a new WHS-based product called Omserver.
Omserver is a small, compact and neat looking unit which can be rack-mounted if required, or can sit easily on a shelf or under the TV. 4 configurations are available, from 1Tb to 4Tb of internal storage - specs are as follows:
OM SERVER 1 TB (2 * 500 GB)

- Processor: Celeron 1.8Ghz
- Memory: 1 Gigabyte
- Storage: 1 Tb (configures as 2 x 500Gb drives) - 2 free bays available

The units are now shipping in France for a pretty steep 960 Euros for the base configuration.

There is some absolutely awesome hardware coming out for WHS. This is going to be a very viable market in my opinion.
