Streaming21 and WNC Debut WiFi Media Frame Connected to Microsoft Windows Home Server at CES

Tue, Jan 1, 2008 | Terry Walsh

Looks like the partnership between Streaming 21 and WNC continues to prosper, with the companies showcasing a Digital Photo Frame which connects to Windows Home Server at CES next week.

I have a vested interest here, having recently purchased a Samsung Photo Frame which only connects to PCs running WMP11 (i.e. not WHS). Let’s hope this one performs better!

Here’s the press release:

    Terry,

I too got a Samsung picture frame, SPF-72V, over Christmas. It has connected to WHS, although it doesnt stay connected for long. HOwever, I have the same problem with the PS3 and other WMP11 devices connecting to WHS, so I assumed it was something to do with my home infrastructure rather than the Samsung picture frame.

Would be interested to understand how others are getting on with WHS and Media Sharing - especially to PS3 or picture frames.

    cheers

    simon
