A long day’s travel yesterday (about 20 hours door to door) finds me in a pleasant, but very windy Las Vegas at CES 2008. Winter in the desert apparently means gales and bumpy plane rides.
Whilst the show kicks off in earnest tomorrow, today is Press Day, which means that there’s a whole suite of Press Conferences from the likes of LG, Toshiba and Netgear announcing a bunch of products they’ve already pre-announced in the last week or so. If you want to check what’s happening in (almost) real time, Engadget is the place to be. I’m sure even attendees will have an eye on there to check out what’s happening around the show - you can’t hope to cover everything on foot.
I’m now armed with various access badges following registration and today, in the world of WHS we’ll be hoping for a short update/mention from Bill G in today’s keynote and I’ll also be sitting in on a couple of sessions later this morning from HP’s Managed Home team before heading over to Ceasars Palace this evening for the Digital Experience exhibition.
That and generally trying to get my head around the size and scale of this place
Hint: Check the blog tomorrow at 6am Pacific/2pm GMT for some news. ![]()
