HP MediaSmart Server Update

Fri, Jan 25, 2008 | Terry Walsh

Looks like HP are starting to send an update down the wires for the HP MediaSmart Server, which provides a few Help file changes, plus more importantly, bug-fixes for their Monitor service. I’ve pinged our friends at HP for a little more info, which I’ll post if/when it comes through. This update is not required for those running their own or other manufacturer’s WHS systems.

If you’ve not received the update already, your network health icon should turn red to tell you the update it waiting for you to install.

I’ve just purchased the HP Mediasmart EX475 which hopefully will arrive on Wednesday, I was just wondering what way the updates for Microsoft Home Server works on this? I see there is something called Power Pack 1 that has just released, do i manually have to install this or will it automatically update on the device?
