One year in to the release of Windows Home Server, and there’s now a plethora of community add-ins and software released for the platform. But which are the essentials, and which are the duffers?

We’re working hard to get as many of these releases review for you so you can gauge which you should download or purchase - it’s now time to hear your views on what’s out there.

Over on the WGS forums, we have dedicated sub-forums for every add-in and software release for Windows Home Server. As of today, you can now rate each piece of software from 1 (Don’t Go Near It) to 5 (It’s the best - Install it Now!). Every three months, we’ll be taking a snapshot of the results submitted by the community and publishing them here on the site so you can separate the wheat from the chaff.

Even now you’ll find debates raging on whether PerfectDisk is better than Diskeeper and more - it’s your views that make the difference, so get scoring!

I’d like to thank one of our WGS Forums Moderators, bodogbodog, for spending a very dull few hours over in Australia setting up the polls. An enormous job - thanks mate.

You’ll find the ratings pinned at the top of each sub-forum in our Software and Add-ins sections. Should we get everyone involved, not only will it be a great resource for the community, but it will also ensure that developers out there continue to drive for quality - a win for all.
