I’m sure many of you will have noticed that we’ve had a few server issues this week - apologies for the downtime, which was due partly to a database connection issue and mostly due to our web hosts not being able to sort out said database connection issue as a. their “technical support” people aren’t in fact technical at all and b. our web host’s technical support line has been off-shored to a far-flung location in the world where technical English (or indeed most other flavours of English) aren’t spoken.
Net result, a series of enormously frustrating telephone calls and lack of solutions until Friday when I decided to pull the plug on our web hosts and find a new one with a better level of support.
As a result, we are in the progress of moving everything over to the new server, hence the retro look of the blog).
Current status of We Got Served is:
Forums: Fully Operational
Wiki: Fully Operational
Gallery: Operational with some images still to be moved
Blog: Operational, running with old theme, some images to be moved.
We should have everything completed (I hope) by Monday - until then, thanks for your patience, and we’re looking forward to bringing you the latest and greatest in the WHS world next week.
