After a pretty hectic end to the week with the server going down, it’s only now I’ve had a chance to check out a few of my favourite blogs, and reading Ian Dixon’s Digital Lifestyle, I suddenly remembered that I was interviewed for the Media Center Show this week!
Ian and I were both in Berlin for HP’s “Connecting Your World” event and bumped into each other during a session on HP’s design influences.
Ian grabbed me for a few minutes over lunch to chat about Windows Home Server Power Pack 1, and on the show this week he also chats to a number of people from HP as well as Sierra Modro from gottabemobile.com. Ian, Sierra and I got to hang out on Tuesday evening where an Oxygen bar was put to good use by us all. (I’m the guy lying down in the blue shirt, and Ian D pops up when you click the image). A very strange experience, akin to sniffing an air freshener, but we had a great night chatting about what we’d seen at the event, and balancing (or not) life as a blogger with families, day jobs etc.
Whilst I remember, Ian will be a guest on a similar HP Webinar to the one I’m doing, although Ian’s will be covering the new HP MediaSmart Connect, (formally known as the HP MediaSmart Receiver) which we saw at CES this year. Ian’s webinar is on June 24th, and is part of a series featuring ZD Net’s Ed Bott, Tekzilla’s Patrick Norton. and Mike Garcen from Missing Remote (site currently down - know the feeling.)
