The originality police may be knocking on my door shortly for that headline, but on Tuesday night my jetlag really decided to kick in as I awoke at 2.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep. So Wednesday ended up as a bit of a blur! We were back to campus for the second day of our Windows Home [...]

One of the cool things about the MVP Summit is that you get to stay in a pretty decent hotel. The deal is, you pay for your travel expenses (funded mainly by Virgin air miles in my case) and Microsoft pick up the tab for your hotel. There’s over 1700 MVPs here in town scattered [...]

Early start this morning, and I’m now on the way to Heathrow on the first leg of my journey to next week’s MVP Summit. Fortunately, I’m flying Virgin rather than BA, and missing the T5 fiasco - however, American Airlines may do their best to scupper me flying from Chicago to Redmond, as I’m due [...]

One time (or should that be “short time”) WHS MVP and now Microsoft employee Rick Hallihan’s book, “Windows Home Server: Protect and Simplify Your Digital Life“ is now shipping at Amazon. It’s January 1st 2008, and a number of new Microsoft MVPs for Windows Home Server have been announced, joining Grey Lancaster, Ken Warren and me (who are now officially old-skool). A week or so ago, the guys over at PerfectDisk invited me to be interviewed about Windows Home Server, We Got Served and the MVP Program for their PerfectDisk podcast. So, if you want to hear me speak with a very scratchy and gravelly voice over the telephone, (I had a pretty heavy cold on the [...]
